Formation Bible Study offers three tiers. The Free plan is permanent — it does not expire, and no credit card is required to sign up. After your first 7 days, we ask for a card to keep your account active; you will not be charged unless you choose to upgrade, and you can dismiss the prompt for a day if you are not ready. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis.

Billing & Cancellation
Formation Bible Study does not offer a free trial of paid plans — the permanent Free plan (see the account-activation card requirement above) is how you try the product before paying. All paid plans (Formation Bible Study, Formation Plus, Formation Pro) can be cancelled anytime.
Billed immediately on signup
A valid payment method is required to start a paid plan. You will be billed immediately when you subscribe — there is no trial period on paid plans.
Cancel anytime from Account Settings
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep paid access until then.
Reverts to the Free plan after cancelling
If you cancel your subscription, your account will revert to the Free plan at the end of your billing period. Your study content will be preserved.
Billing Cycle & Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions Renew Automatically
Formation Bible Study subscriptions are recurring. Your plan will automatically renew at the end of each billing period — monthly or annual — and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Renewal Reminders
We will send you an email reminder 7 days before your annual subscription renews. Monthly subscribers receive a reminder 3 days before renewal. You can turn off marketing emails but renewal notices are transactional and cannot be unsubscribed from.
Billing Receipts
A receipt is emailed to you after each successful charge. Your billing history is also accessible from your account settings at any time.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Formation Bible Study does not store, see, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or banking details. All sensitive billing data is handled entirely by Stripe.
Accepted Payment Methods
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and debit cards that support recurring billing. Apple Pay and Google Pay may be available depending on your device and browser.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will attempt to retry the charge over the following 7 days. You will receive an email notification to update your payment method. If payment remains unsuccessful after the retry window, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan and your study content will be preserved.
Updating Your Payment Method
You can update your payment method at any time from Account Settings → Billing. Changes take effect on the next billing cycle and do not affect your current subscription period.
Stripe's privacy policy and terms of service govern their handling of your payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Formation Bible Study subscription at any time. There are no cancellation fees and no penalties.
How to Cancel
Go to Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan. You can also email contact@bereandefense.com and we will process your cancellation within 1 business day.
Access After Cancellation
Your paid plan features remain active through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. You do not lose access to your study notes, highlights, or reading history — they are preserved on the Free tier.
Reactivation
You can resubscribe at any time from Account Settings. Reactivating restores full paid features immediately.
Cancel Before Your Renewal Date
To avoid being charged for the next billing period, cancel before your renewal date. Cancellations submitted on the renewal date itself may not process before the charge occurs. If this happens, see our refund policy below.
Refund Policy
Formation Bible Study offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid charge. If you request a refund within 14 days of that charge, we'll refund it in full — no questions asked. Outside that 14-day window, subscriptions are billed for the full period and we don't prorate or refund unused time, though we still honor refunds in good faith for the situations below.

How to Request a Refund
Email contact@bereandefense.com with your account email and a brief description of the issue. Include the charge date and amount. We review all refund requests within 2 business days and, when approved, process refunds within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.
Upgrades & Downgrades
You can change your plan at any time from Account Settings → Subscription.
Upgrading
When you upgrade (e.g., Formation Bible Study to Formation Pro), you gain access to the new plan immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period, then the full new plan price at your next renewal.
Downgrading
When you downgrade, you retain your current plan's features through the end of the billing period. The lower-tier plan takes effect at the next renewal. No partial refunds are issued for downgrades.
Switching Billing Periods
You may switch between monthly and annual billing. Switching to annual takes effect at your next renewal. If switching from annual to monthly, the monthly rate begins after your annual period expires — you will not be charged for switching.
Price Changes
Formation Bible Study reserves the right to change subscription prices at any time. If we increase the price of your current plan, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect. The price increase will apply at your next renewal after the notice period.
If you do not cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect, your continued use of Formation Bible Study will constitute acceptance of the new price. You will always have the option to cancel before any price change is applied to your account.
Taxes & Fees
Prices listed on Formation Bible Study's website and app are in United States Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Depending on your location, sales tax, VAT, GST, or other local taxes may be added to your subscription price at checkout. Tax amounts will be displayed before you confirm your purchase.
Formation Bible Study does not charge any additional transaction fees beyond the subscription price and applicable taxes. Stripe may add fees in certain international transactions, which Stripe discloses in their own terms.
